Beste cliënten en partners,

Naar aanleiding van de recente aanpassing van de Corona maatregelen in ons land moeten wij de maatregelen in onze huidige verloskundige zorg aanpassen. De aanpassingen zijn minimaal, omdat wij al bijna op het maximale niveau werken. In het vet zijn de nieuwe aanpassingen gemarkeerd. In deze nieuwsbrief staan alle al geldende maatregelen nogmaals duidelijk op een rijtje.

Wij beseffen ons dat deze maatregelen niet leuk zijn voor jullie, maar door deze maatregelen houden wij de verloskundige zorg in Haarlem en Haarlemmermeer op het juiste niveau. En kunnen wij dus goed voor jullie blijven zorgen. De aanpassingen die gelden vanaf heden en voor zover nu duidelijk tot 19 januari 2021.

Zwangerschapscontroles:

• Kom als zwangere alleen naar je reguliere afspraken. Je partner mag ten alle tijden via videobellen of telefonisch meedoen aan het consult.
• Het intakegesprek gaat bij voorkeur telefonisch of via videobellen. Op deze manier kan je de intake toch samen met je partner ervaren.
• Bij een 35 weken consult (bespreken van de bevalling) mag je nog steeds samen komen met je partner, of (voor alleenstaanden) met een vaste geboortepartner.
• Wij als verloskundigen zullen tijdens het spreekuur een mondkapje dragen.
• Wij vragen jullie ook gedurende het hele consult een mondkapje te dragen. Neem zelf een mondkapje mee. Dit geldt ook voor (geboorte)partners.
• Op de prakIjk proberen we de 1,5m afstand zo goed mogelijk te waarborgen en houden we ons strikt aan de hygiënemaatregelen.

Voor afspraken in het Spaarne Gasthuis geldt dat de partner gevraagd wordt buiten het ziekenhuis te wachten. Door de Corona-maatregelen is het onmogelijk om de 1,5m afstand tot andere mensen te waarborgen als iedereen iemand meeneemt. Dit is vooral een probleem in de wachtruimten en de centrale hal. Uiteraard is het alIjd mogelijk om in te bellen tijdens het gesprek of tijdens de echo. Telefonisch of met video inbellen is geen enkel bezwaar. Voor zwangere vrouwen is er een uitzondering gemaakt op bovenstaande afspraken bij de eerste echo, de 20-weken echo en het gesprek over de bevalling. Ook bij slecht-nieuws gesprekken wordt er een uitzondering gemaakt.

Echo’s:

• Alle echopraktijken in de omgeving hebben besloten de partner alleen nog toe te laten bij een echo in verband met bloedverlies, een termijnecho en bij de 20 weken echo. Bij echo’s met een andere reden vragen we je alleen te komen. Natuurlijk is je partner via videobellen welkom deel te nemen aan het onderzoek.
• Aanpassing: Pretecho’s zijn tijdens de huidige lockdown niet mogelijk.
• De echoscopiste zal een mondkapje dragen
• Wij vragen jullie gedurende de echo een mondkapje te dragen. Neem zelf een mondkapje mee. Dit geldt ook voor de partner.

Bevalling:

Voor de bevallingen en consulten thuis verandert er in deze regio niets. De keuze voor een thuis- of ziekenhuisbevalling blijft. Wij komen bij je thuis, gaan samen met je naar het ziekenhuis indien nodig of gewenst. Wel is er een dringend verzoek voor de partner om een eigen mondkapje te dragen als de hulpverlener op de kamer is. De verloskundigen zullen tijdens de baring ook een mondkapje opzetten.

Als je partner klachten heeft die verdacht zijn voor Corona mag hij/zij nog steeds bij de bevalling zijn, hij/zij zal een mondkapje moeten dragen en afstand van de hulpverleners moeten houden. Laat het ons wel weten als er een verdenking is.

Zoals het er nu uitziet is het nog steeds mogelijk om een derde persoon bij je bevalling toe te laten. Overweeg wel goed of dit wel echt noodzakelijk is voor jou. Aanpassing: Was je van plan om een derde persoon bij je bevalling te hebben? Bespreek dit met je verloskundig hulpverlener. Dit geldt zowel thuis als in het ziekenhuis. Bezoek na de bevalling kan helaas niet.

Kraambed:

Aanpassing: In de kraamtijd doen wij 1 kraamvisite thuis. De andere visites doen we telefonisch. Als vanzelfsprekend zijn wij laagdrempelig 24/7 bereikbaar voor overleg en zullen wij langskomen, als dit wenselijk of medisch noodzakelijk is. De kraamzorgorganisaties vragen om terughoudend te zijn met het aantal bezoekers tijdens de kraamweek als de kraamverzorgende aanwezig is. Dit voor de pasgeborene, het gezin, maar ook voor de kraamverzorgende. Voorwaarden voor bezoek zijn: 1,5m afstand moet mogelijk zijn en het kraamgezin vergewist zich ervan dat bezoekers met klachten niet op bezoek komen. De voorkeur blijft dat de kraamvisite komt wanneer de kraamverzorgende niet in huis is.

Ten alle tijden blijft het belangrijk: jij en je partner komen niet naar de praktijk, het ziekenhuis of het echocentrum bij de volgende klachten:

• Verkoudheidsklachten (zoals neusverkoudheid, loopneus, niezen, keelpijn)
• Hoesten
• Benauwdheid
• Verhoging of koorts
• Plotseling verlies van reuk en/of smaak (zonder neusverstopping)

Het algemene advies is om bij klachten thuis te blijven en je te laten testen.

Aanpassing: Ben je voorbij de 37 weken zwanger en heb je klachten, bel je verloskundig hulpverlener. Wij kijken hoe wij je zo spoedig mogelijk kunnen laten testen.

Positief getest voor Corona of verdacht? Voor zwangeren die verdacht zijn op of positief getest zijn voor Corona hebben wij voldoende beschermende hulpmiddelen mocht een controle aan huis nodig zijn. Laat het je verloskundig hulpverlener weten. Kijk in overleg met je verloskundige of een controle noodzakelijk is of uitgesteld kan worden. Ga je bevallen dan zal jullie verloskundige of het geboorteteam van het Spaarne Gasthuis voor jullie klaar staan met de juiste medische zorg. Het blijft belangrijk dat jullie in alle gevallen contact opnemen als je vragen of klachten hebt in de zwangerschap. Wacht niet af (vanwege angst voor Corona, omdat het weekend/kerstmis of nieuwjaarsdag is, of omdat er toevallig geen spreekuur is e.d.) maar bel áltijd met de dienstdoende verloskundige. Wij staan voor je klaar!

Ervaar je veel stress of eenzaamheid in deze periode? Praat erover met je verloskundig hulpverlener. Zij kan je eventueel met lotgenoten in (online) contact brengen.

Dear clients and partners,

As a result of the adjustments of the Corona measures in the country, we must adapt the measures in our current obstetric care. The adjustments are minimal, because we were already working (almost) at the maximum level. The new adjustments are highlighted in bold. All measures already in force are clearly listed again.

We realize that these measures are not pleasant for you, but through these measures we keep the obstetric care in Haarlem and Haarlemmermeer at the right level. And in this way we can continue to take good care of you. The adjustments apply from today and as far as is now clear, until January 19th 2021.

Pregnancy Checks:

• As a pregnant woman, come to your regular appointments alone. Your partner may participate in the consultation at any time via video calling or by telephone.
• The intake interview is preferably by telephone or video calling. This way you can still experience the intake together with your partner.
• During a 35-week consultation (discussing childbirth) you may still come together with your partner, or (for singles) with a permanent birth partner.
• We as midwives will wear a mask during the consultation hour.
• We also ask you to wear a mask during the entire consultation. Bring your own mask. This also applies to (birth) partners.
• At the practice we try to guarantee the 1.5 meters distance as well as possible and we strictly adhere to the hygiene measures.

For appointments at the Spaarne Gasthuis, your partner is asked to wait outside the hospital. Due to the Corona measures, it is impossible to guarantee the 1.5 meter distance to other people if everyone takes someone with them. This is especially a problem in the waiting areas and the central hall. Of course it's always possible to "call in" during the conversation or during the ultrasound. Telephone or video is no objection. For pregnant women, an exception has been made to the above agreements for the first ultrasound, the 20-weeks ultrasound and the consultation about the delivery. An exception is also made for bad news consultations.

Ultrasounds:

• All ultrasound practices in the area have decided to only allow the partner admission for an ultrasound in connection with blood loss, a periodical ultrasound and the 20-week ultrasound. For ultrasounds for any other reason, we ask you to come alone. Of course, your partner is welcome to participate in the ultrasound via video calling.
• Adjustment: Fun echoes are not possible during the current lockdown.
• The sonographer will wear a mask
• We ask you to wear a mask during the ultrasound. Bring your own mouth mask. This also applies to your partner.

Childbirth:

Nothing will change in this region for deliveries and consultations at home. The choice for a home or hospital birth remains. We come to your home, and we will accompany you to the hospital if necessary or desired. However, there is an urgent request for the partner to wear their own mask when the care provider is in the room. The midwives will also put on a mask during labor. If your partner has complaints that are suspicious for Corona, he/she can still be at the delivery, he/she will have to wear a mask and keep a distance from the care providers. Let us know if there is any suspicion.

As it stands, it is still possible to admit a third person to your delivery. Consider carefully whether this is really necessary for you. Adjustment: Were you planning to have a third person with your delivery? Discuss this with your midwife. This applies both at home and in the hospital. Unfortunately, visits after delivery are not possible.

After birth:

Adjustment: We do 1 maternity visit at home during the maternity period. We do the other visits by telephone. It goes without saying that we are accessible 24/7 for consultation and we will visit you if this is desirable or medically necessary.

The maternity care organisations ask you to restrain the number of visitors during the maternity week when the maternity nurse or "kraamzorg" is present at your home. This for the sake of the newborn, the family, but also for the maternity nurse. Conditions for visits are: 1.5 meters distance must be possible and the maternity family ensures that visitors with complaints do not come to visit. The preference remains that the maternity visit comes when the maternity nurse is not at home. It remains important at all times: you and your partner will not come to the practice, hospital or ultrasound center in case of the following complaints:

• Cold complaints (such as cold, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat)
• Cough
• Distress
• Temperature or fever

Tested positive for Corona or suspected?

If your past the 37th week of pregnancy and you have covid complaints? Call your care provider midwife or doctor. We will try to find a shortcut to test you for COVID

For pregnant women who are suspected or tested positive for Corona, we have sufficient protective equipment should a home check be necessary. Let your midwife know. Consult with your midwife to see whether a check-up is necessary or can be postponed. If you are going to give birth, your midwife or the birth team of the Spaarne Gasthuis will be ready for you with the appropriate medical care.

It remains important that you always contact us if you have any quesIons or complaints during your pregnancy. Do not wait (because of fear of Corona, because it is the weekend/christmas or new years eve, or because there is no consultaIon hour, etc.) but always call the midwife on duty. We are there for you!

Do you experience a lot of stress or loneliness during this period? Talk to your midwife about it. She can possibly put you in (online) contact with women experiencing similar feelings.
